The anime world apparently decided sleep is optional.
In this massive edition of TFTM News, Chase takes over the tavern solo to break down a ridiculous wave of anime, manga, gaming, TCG, movie, and collaboration news — from some of the biggest franchises in the world.
We’re talking Black Clover Season 2, the future of Jujutsu Kaisen, reported plans for Chainsaw Man, the return of Dragon Ball Super, and the seemingly endless expansion of One Piece. Plus, we dive into Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, Bleach, Naruto and Boruto, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Solo Leveling, Haikyu!!, Sakamoto Days, Vampire Hunter D, Inuyasha, Sword Art Online, and much more.
Then things get nostalgic.
Yu-Gi-Oh! is having a massive year with Beyond the Brave, Joey Wheeler support, Magnificent Monsters, anniversary products, collaborations, and a gorgeous new modern-animation trailer featuring Yugi, Joey, Kaiba, Dark Magician, Blue-Eyes White Dragon and the original crew. Chase reacts to the footage and asks the question fans are already talking about:
Is it finally time for the original Yu-Gi-Oh! anime to get a modern remake?
We also cover the increasingly wild world of anime collaborations — including Pokémon × Adidas, Pokémon’s upcoming McDonald’s promotion, Attack on Titan × Burger King, The Weeknd colliding with Neon Genesis Evangelion, and classic anime like Ghost in the Shell, Akira, and Ninja Scroll returning to theaters.
And after looking at what could be coming in 2027, one thing is clear:
Anime fans may need to start clearing their calendars now.

🦸 EPISODE SUMMARY
Who really owns a superhero?
This week on Talk Fantasy To Me, Chase and Kyle sit down with New York Times bestselling author, former trial lawyer and Jeopardy champion William Bernhardt for a deep dive into his nonfiction book The Superman Wars — the remarkable and often heartbreaking story of Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
Long before Superman became one of the most recognizable characters on Earth, Siegel and Shuster were two young creators from Cleveland trying desperately to get their strange new hero published. What followed became one of the most important creator-rights battles in entertainment history.
Bernhardt takes us behind the creation of Superman, the infamous agreement that cost Siegel and Shuster control of their character, the battle over Superboy, decades of lawsuits, the removal of their names from Superman, and Jerry Siegel's relentless fight to reclaim recognition for what he created.
But this isn't only a story about comic-book history.
Chase, Kyle and William explore how the Superman battle helped change the conversation around creator rights, copyright and intellectual property, why other comic creators were initially afraid to support Siegel and Shuster, and how the fight ultimately influenced generations of creators who came afterward.
The conversation also jumps into the modern world: AI-generated writing, intellectual-property theft, fan activism, Hollywood, the James Gunn Superman movie, the future of creator rights, and what today's writers and artists can learn from what happened to Siegel and Shuster.
William also reveals fascinating discoveries from researching The Superman Wars, including conversations with Jerry Siegel's daughter and access to material from the Siegel family archive. And before the episode ends, he gives us a preview of his next project — The Batman Wars, exploring Bill Finger and the complicated history behind the creation of Batman.
Oh... and we couldn't let a Jeopardy champion leave the tavern without asking what it's actually like to win Jeopardy.
This is the story behind Superman that every comic-book fan — and every creator — should know.

📝 SHOW NOTES
🦸 The Superman Wars
Superman may be one of the most recognizable fictional characters ever created — but the story of the men who created him is far less widely known.
In this episode, William Bernhardt takes us through the extraordinary story of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, two young creators from Cleveland whose idea would fundamentally change popular culture.
William explains why the famous claim that Superman was simply "sold for $130" doesn't tell the full story, how control of the character changed hands, and how Siegel and Shuster eventually found themselves fighting the company profiting from their creation.
Their battle would continue in different forms for decades.
⚖️ The Creator-Rights Battle That Changed Comics
One of the biggest themes of The Superman Wars is bigger than Superman himself:
Who controls a creation once business enters the picture?
The conversation explores contracts, copyright, lawsuits, corporate power and why many other comic-book professionals were initially reluctant to stand beside Siegel and Shuster.
William argues that Jerry's persistence ultimately helped creators far beyond himself, establishing precedents and contributing to a changing conversation about how writers and artists should be treated.
💔 The Moment Jerry Finally Got His Name Back
One of the episode's most emotional stories involves the release of the Christopher Reeve Superman film.
After years in which Siegel and Shuster's names had been removed from their creation, Jerry's daughter Laura recalled sitting with her parents at the premiere when the words acknowledging Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster as Superman's creators appeared on the screen.
William recounts Laura looking toward her father and seeing tears streaming down his face.
He wasn't regaining ownership of Superman.
But Superman finally had his creators again.
🎬 James Gunn's Superman & Hidden Siegel Easter Eggs
The conversation eventually reaches the modern DC Universe and James Gunn's Superman.
William discusses why he believes Jerry would have appreciated the film's heart and storytelling, while also revealing several fascinating tributes to the Siegel family hidden within the movie — including references connected directly to Jerry and Joanne Siegel.
🤖 AI, IP Theft & Why This Story Still Matters
The Superman story isn't merely history.
William describes The Superman Wars as a cautionary tale for anyone creating intellectual property today.
Chase, Kyle and William discuss AI-generated books, scraped creative work, deepfakes, Hollywood, online content and intellectual-property theft, along with the increasingly difficult challenge creators face protecting their work.
William's central advice is simple: creators should understand what they're signing and seek a knowledgeable second opinion before surrendering rights to something they've created.
🔎 Researching Jerry Siegel
William also takes us behind the research process for the book.
After initially being told by Jerry's daughter Laura Siegel Larson that she generally didn't give interviews, William's effort to verify facts developed into a much deeper conversation.
That eventually gave him insight into the Siegel family archive, containing documents and artifacts that helped confirm and reshape pieces of Superman history.
🦇 NEXT: The Batman Wars
And William isn't finished investigating the hidden history of superheroes.
His next nonfiction project is The Batman Wars, which will examine the story of Bill Finger and the creation of Batman.
William describes Finger's story as in some ways even less widely understood — and potentially even more heartbreaking — than what happened to Siegel and Shuster.
Sounds like William might need to return to the tavern for Round Two...
✍️ WriterCon
Outside of his own books, William created WriterCon as a way to help aspiring and established writers connect, learn and develop their craft.
His motivation connects directly with one of the themes running throughout this episode: talented young creators shouldn't have to navigate the business alone.
🧠 BONUS: William Bernhardt Won Jeopardy
Because apparently bestselling author, lawyer and comic-book historian weren't enough titles...
William is also a Jeopardy champion.
He tells Chase and Kyle about struggling to get the buzzer to cooperate, falling into negative territory, fearing he might not even reach Final Jeopardy — and then mounting a comeback and winning the game.
📖 THE SUPERMAN WARS
Look for William Bernhardt's The Superman Wars wherever books are sold.

William created WriterCon to help writers learn their craft, connect with other creators, and navigate the publishing industry.

What happens when four nerds walk into a convention with expensive cardboard, questionable financial decisions, elaborate cosplay, and absolutely no idea how much money they're about to spend? 😂
Graham and Andrew from Sideboard Therapy join Chase and Kyle for a massive Talk Fantasy To Me crossover episode diving into the worlds of Magic: The Gathering, Commander, trading card games, cosplay, comic and anime conventions, collecting, and nerd culture.
We start with Magic: The Gathering from the ground up. What exactly is Commander? How do you build a deck? What are precons? How do mana, creatures, instants, sorceries, artifacts, enchantments, and Planeswalkers work?
Graham and Andrew break down MTG for beginners while also getting into the deeper side of the hobby — competitive vs. casual Magic, alternate-art cards, Universes Beyond, Secret Lair, collector boosters, scalpers, expensive chase cards, and why some pieces of cardboard can cost an absolutely ridiculous amount of money.
We also tackle the growing crossover between Magic and major franchises like Final Fantasy and Marvel, whether Universes Beyond is helping Magic reach new audiences or changing too much of its original identity, and how the MTG collector market compares with Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!
Then we leave the card table and enter...
THE CONVENTION FLOOR. 😈
Cosplayers. Celebrity hunters. Resellers. Vendor halls. Photographers. Questionable artwork. Convention etiquette. People stopping directly in the middle of crowded hallways. And, yes... the convention guests who apparently forgot deodorant exists. 😂
We share cosplay disasters, convention horror stories, celebrity encounters, first-timer mistakes, convention stereotypes, how expensive a weekend at a con can REALLY become, and why — despite all the chaos — we keep coming back.
Whether you're a longtime Magic player, completely new to MTG, a collector, cosplayer, convention veteran, or just someone who enjoys watching four friends disappear down increasingly ridiculous nerd-culture rabbit holes, this episode has something for you.
Featuring Graham & Andrew from Sideboard Therapy.

This week, Chase and Kyle are breaking down some of the biggest stories and rumors from across Marvel, DC, Spider-Man, X-Men, movies, television, and beyond.
🕷️ SPIDER-MAN & MARVEL
The episode kicks off with a painful one: the reported cancellation of Spider-Man Noir after its first season.
We discuss why the series may have been canceled, its production costs, its reception, and what another Sony/Spider-Man project could potentially mean for the future.
Also in the Spider-Verse:
Spider-Man: Brand New Day box-office discussion• What Spider-Man's future could look like heading toward Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars• Avengers: Endgame Encore and its additional footage• Why Marvel is calling the rerelease important viewing before Doomsday• Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse and the continuation of Miles Morales' story
🦇 DC UNIVERSE
Lewis Tan wants to play Nightwing, and we're discussing whether he could work as Dick Grayson as the Batman side of the new DC Universe continues to develop.
Later, the Rumor Forge brings an even bigger DC possibility:
⚔️ Could Wonder Woman appear in Superman: Man of Tomorrow?
If the rumors prove accurate, we could be looking at one of the new DCU's first major crossover events.
🗺️ NATIONAL TREASURE 3
Could Nicolas Cage finally return as Benjamin Franklin Gates?
We discuss reports surrounding National Treasure 3 and why another big-screen treasure hunt after nearly two decades could be a huge nostalgia win.
🧇 OBSESSION & THE WAFFLE HOUSE INDEX
We also return to one of our favorite recent projects, Obsession, as Indy Navarrette reportedly enters the awards conversation.
Plus, we discuss The Waffle House Index, a reported sci-fi thriller project involving a Waffle House waitress experiencing an increasingly terrifying and bizarre night shift.
And yes… Chase being a Waffle House fan makes this even better.
🔥 THE RUMOR FORGE

⚡ EPISODE SUMMARY
The Wizarding World is BACK! ⚡
The first major look at HBO's new Harry Potter series is here, and we're breaking down the trailer scene by scene!
Chase and Kyle react to the new Harry Potter trailer and dive into everything that caught our attention—from the new Harry, Ron and Hermione to Hogwarts, Dumbledore, Snape, Hagrid, Quidditch, the Sorting Hat, Wizard's Chess, the Mirror of Erised, Fluffy, the Mountain Troll and much more.
One of the biggest surprises? Just how many moments appear to expand on material from the books that the original Harry Potter movies either changed or never showed. Ron receiving his Hogwarts letter, the students' actual class schedules, Neville joining the trio during their adventure with Fluffy and Hermione carrying the flute are just a few of the details that have us excited about how this adaptation could approach the books. But we definitely have questions.
Why is the Wizarding World SO DARK? 👀
We discuss the series' grittier, more realistic visual style and whether beginning Harry's story with such muted colors could hurt the sense of wonder that defined Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. At the same time, the production design, costumes, sets and tiny details throughout Hogwarts seriously impressed us.
We also talk about the latest Season 2 casting news and rumors surrounding Ginny Weasley, Tom Riddle and Dobby, plus the rumored possibilities of Andrew Garfield as Remus Lupin, Florence Pugh as Nymphadora Tonks and Ben Barnes as Sirius Black discussed during the episode.
And finally, we have a theory about one of the trailer's mysterious shots: could we actually be seeing Voldemort approaching Godric's Hollow—and could the HBO series begin BEFORE Harry Potter's story as we know it?
There are things we love, things we're skeptical about, and plenty that we absolutely did NOT expect.

⚡ Harry Potter HBO Series Trailer Reaction & Breakdown
The Wizarding World is preparing for a new era, and we're going frame by frame through our first major look at HBO's new Harry Potter adaptation.
🪄 IN THIS EPISODE:
Our overall reaction to the Harry Potter trailer• Harry, Ron & Hermione — did HBO nail the Golden Trio?• The dramatically darker visual style of the new Hogwarts• How the series compares visually with the original movies• Book details appearing on screen for the first time• Ron receiving his Hogwarts letter• Seeing Ron and Hermione's lives outside Harry's perspective• The new Hogwarts Great Hall• New Hogwarts house crests• The Sorting Hat• John Lithgow's Dumbledore• Dumbledore's new voice• McGonagall• Snape and the difficulty of following Alan Rickman's performance• Hagrid's new look• Hogwarts class schedules• Herbology• The Hogwarts feast• Quidditch and the new flying sequences• Wizard's Chess• Neville joining Harry, Ron and Hermione• Fluffy and Hermione's flute• The Invisibility Cloak• The Mirror of Erised• The terrifying new Mountain Troll• Harry vs. Professor Quirrell• Possible Voldemort/Godric's Hollow footage• Our theory about how Episode 1 could begin• Whether the series is truly becoming more book accurate• Our biggest concern with the trailer• Our final verdict
The trailer appears to be doing something especially interesting with perspective. Instead of experiencing everything exclusively alongside Harry, we're potentially seeing Ron and Hermione's lives before they meet him—giving the series an opportunity to expand the story instead of simply recreating the films.
Despite our criticisms—particularly the extremely dark cinematography—we walked away impressed by the production design, costumes, Hogwarts details and the new Golden Trio. More importantly, the trailer made us considerably more excited to return to this world.

SUMMARY
The Spider is BACK — and this is definitely not the Spider-Man we’re used to.
In our Spider-Man Noir Episode 2 breakdown, Chase and Kyle dive deep into “Tread Lightly,” as Ben Reilly’s investigation into Flint Marco pulls him deeper into Silvermane’s criminal underworld and forces him to confront the identity he buried five years ago.
But when Silvermane’s men threaten the people closest to Ben, everything changes.
Ben finally digs the Spider-Noir suit out of hiding and returns to the streets — and his brutal confrontation with Silvermane makes one thing very clear: this Spider-Man plays by completely different rules.
We break down Kat Hardy’s suspicious behavior, Flint Marco’s mysterious connection to her, the World War I photograph connecting Flint and Jimmy Addison, the mysterious doctor behind their deteriorating powers, Ben’s failing webs, the symbolism surrounding the Spider suit, and what the episode’s final spider scene could mean for Ben’s future.
Plus: Would Ben actually kill Silvermane?
Because after Episode 2… we think the answer might be YES.

🕸️ SHOW NOTES
THE SPIDER IS BACK
Five years after burying the Spider identity, Ben Reilly is finally forced to become Spider-Noir again.
Episode 2 pushes Ben deeper into the mystery surrounding Flint Marco, Jimmy Addison, Silvermane and Kat Hardy, while simultaneously revealing just how psychologically damaged this version of Spider-Man really is.
Unlike Peter Parker or Miles Morales, Ben doesn't necessarily view his powers as a gift or even a responsibility.
To him, the Spider has become a burden.
And when he finally puts the suit back on, it isn't presented like the triumphant superhero transformation we're accustomed to seeing.
Ben literally digs the suit out of a wall, almost like he's exhuming a corpse.
🕷️ KAT HARDY & THE CRUSHED SPIDER
The episode opens with Kat casually crushing a spider crawling across Ben's desk.
That seemingly insignificant moment becomes one of the most important pieces of symbolism in the entire episode.
Kat presents herself as glamorous, sophisticated and composed — but that moment hints at another side of her personality.
She's capable of being ruthless when necessary.
Even more importantly, the spider may represent the part of himself that Ben has been crushing for the last five years.
After losing his wife, Ben buried Spider-Man both physically and psychologically.
And Episode 2 begins with that symbol literally being destroyed in front of him.
🐈 CAN KAT HARDY ACTUALLY BE TRUSTED?
Kat intentionally failed to tell Ben that Flint Marco isn't simply her bodyguard.
He's also an enforcer for Silvermane.
Then Ben confronts her about Jimmy Addison — and Kat claims she doesn't know him.
We aren't convinced.
Kat clearly knows more than she's revealing, raising several possibilities:
Is she protecting herself from Silvermane?• Is she secretly investigating Silvermane?• Does she know who hired Jimmy Addison?• Could she even be connected to the attempt on Silvermane's life?• And how much does she REALLY know about Flint?
🏜️ FLINT MARCO & KAT
One particularly strange moment shows Flint watching Kat through her window from a nearby rooftop.
But his expression isn't threatening.
It almost looks… loving.
That raises a major question:
Is Flint actually in love with Kat?
If their relationship goes beyond bodyguard and client, Flint's disappearance — and Kat's desperation to find him — suddenly takes on an entirely different meaning.
🎖️ WORLD WAR I CONNECTS EVERYTHING
Ben discovers an old photograph showing Flint Marco and Jimmy Addison serving together during World War I.
And Ben fought in the same conflict.
Instead of relying on another laboratory accident to connect Spider-Man's villains, the series appears to be using their shared wartime experiences as the foundation of the mystery.
These aren't random villains who happened to encounter each other.
They may have been brothers in arms.
And that could explain why they're still connected years later.
🧪 THE MYSTERIOUS DOCTOR THEORY
Things get even stranger when Flint and Jimmy's mysterious friend discuss being told by a doctor that they're essentially “ticking time bombs.”
Their abilities appear to be slowly consuming them.
Jimmy already demonstrated what happens when those powers spiral out of control — and Flint's body appears to be progressively transforming into sand.
So who is this doctor?
We theorize that their powers could trace back to experimentation connected to their military service during World War I.
If that's true, this mysterious doctor could be the key to understanding how several of Spider-Man Noir's villains were created.
🕸️ WHY DID BEN'S WEBS STOP WORKING?
When Silvermane's goons ambush Ben, his Spider-Sense works perfectly.
His webs don't.
Ben hilariously covers the failed web-shooting motion by pretending he's performing Tai Chi before throwing a toaster at his attacker.
But there may be something deeper happening.
Ben hasn't completely accepted being the Spider again.
His powers — or at least his ability to use them — may be tied to his psychological state.
And once the suit returns?
So do the webs.
🕷️ BEN REILLY BECOMES SPIDER-NOIR AGAIN
After Winston threatens Janet and Silvermane's men destroy Ben's office, Ben finally reaches his breaking point.
He returns to his former apartment, pretends to be a maintenance worker, destroys some innocent couple's bathroom wall 😂 and retrieves the Spider-Noir suit he buried five years earlier.
And the moment that suit goes on…
Ben changes.
The hesitation disappears.
The confidence returns.
And Spider-Noir goes hunting.
💀 THIS SPIDER-MAN KILLS?!
The confrontation with Silvermane's men establishes perhaps the biggest difference between Spider-Noir and the Spider-Men we're accustomed to.
Ben uses criminals as human shields and manipulates their own gunfire against them.
Then he gets into Silvermane's car and delivers an absolutely chilling warning:
Come after his people again…
and he'll kill him.
And after what we just watched?
We believe him.
This isn't Peter Parker.
This isn't Miles Morales.
Ben Reilly's Spider-Noir exists somewhere much closer to the line between superhero and vigilante.
🚨 SPIDER-MAN ACTUALLY MAKES EVERYTHING WORSE
There's just one problem with Ben's badass return.
He completely screws up a police sting operation designed to capture Silvermane.
Ben's attempt to protect his friends inadvertently allows Silvermane to escape, creating another fascinating conflict for the series.
Ben may finally be willing to become the Spider again…
but that doesn't necessarily mean he knows how to be a hero.
🕷️ THE ENDING EXPLAINED
Episode 2 ends exactly where it began:
with a spider crawling across Ben's desk.
Except this time, nobody kills it.
Ben removes his glove, reaches out his bare hand and allows the spider to crawl onto him.
At the beginning of the episode, the Spider was rejected and destroyed.
At the end…
Ben accepts it.
We believe this represents Ben finally beginning to accept the part of himself he's spent five years trying to bury.
The past isn't disappearing.
The Spider isn't disappearing.
And neither is Ben's responsibility.
Spider-Noir is back.

Episode Summary
D23 just dropped a ridiculous amount of fantasy and entertainment news — and TFTM News is breaking down the announcements that could reshape Marvel, Star Wars, Disney, gaming, and the theme parks.
Chase and Kyle react to the new Avengers: Doomsday footage and the possibility of Tobey Maguire, Wolverine and Deadpool entering the fight against Doctor Doom. They break down Marvel's newly revealed X-Men cast, including Adam Driver as Mister Sinister, and discuss whether VisionQuest could be essential viewing before Doomsday.
Then it's off to a galaxy far, far away with Star Wars: Starfighter, Ahsoka Season 2, Hayden Christensen's return as Anakin Skywalker, Thrawn, and the surprising Smuggler's Run × Fortnite collaboration.
Plus: Kingdom Hearts IV, a Kingdom Hearts anime, Disney and TikTok's major creator partnership, Pokémon nostalgia, the future of the DC Universe after Supergirl, the cancelled Power Rangers reboot, and Disney's enormous slate of upcoming movies.
Finally, we dive deep into the future of the Disney parks, including Villains Land, the Maleficent coaster, the Magic Mirror dark ride, Monstropolis, Indiana Jones: The Jade Serpent, Encanto, Figment, Expedition Everest's Yeti, Coco, Lion King and even the massive new Dragon Ball theme park.
There's a LOT to unpack.
Show Notes
D23 delivered one of the biggest waves of fantasy entertainment announcements we've had in a while, so Chase and Kyle are going franchise by franchise.
We start with the movie and television world as Spider-Man: Brand New Day reaches an enormous box-office milestone and raises an interesting question: is Marvel officially back?
From there, we discuss Aegon the Conqueror becoming a Game of Thrones feature film and why seeing Balerion the Dread on an IMAX screen could be exactly what this story needs.
Things aren't looking nearly as good over at DC. We discuss Supergirl's box-office struggles, the reaction to the current DC Universe and whether James Gunn's DC experiment could be running out of chances. We also react to Nicholas Hoult being cast as Gilderoy Lockhart in the Harry Potter reboot.
Then there's Obsession. After the movie's breakout success, Nikki is headed to Halloween Horror Nights. But should Universal have waited and built an entire Obsession house instead?
Next up is some serious nostalgia as Pokémon GO celebrates its 10th anniversary, Chase returns to the game after a decade, Pokémon: The Movie 2000 turns 25, and Pokémon Season One arrives on Disney+.
Then comes one of the biggest sections of the episode: MARVEL.
We break down the new Avengers: Doomsday footage, Doctor Doom's frightening power level, the mysterious destroyed New York, possible multiverse clues and our theories surrounding Tobey Maguire, Deadpool and Wolverine.
Marvel also revealed its new X-Men cast, featuring Indy Navarrette as Rogue, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost and Adam Driver as Mister Sinister.
We also discuss VisionQuest, Ultron and Vision's return, possible Scarlet Witch connections and whether the series will be required viewing before Doomsday. Then we debate the rumored actresses being considered for Black Cat in the next Spider-Man movie.
Over in Star Wars, D23 brought looks at Star Wars: Starfighter and Ahsoka Season 2. We talk Ryan Gosling, Hayden Christensen returning as Anakin, Grand Admiral Thrawn and why Ahsoka's next season could feel like a live-action Clone Wars.
Disney is also bringing Fortnite into Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run, while the Play Disney Parks app is being discontinued — and we have some thoughts.
Then it's time for Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts IV revealed Coco as a new world, while Disney is developing a Kingdom Hearts anime for Disney+. Chase and Kyle revisit their favorite memories from the original games and discuss why Disney may finally be making a serious push into anime.
Another potentially massive development is the new Disney × TikTok creator partnership. We discuss what expanded access to Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and FX assets could mean for creators — and some of the complicated questions surrounding ownership, fan-created material and AI.
D23 also unleashed a gigantic movie and streaming slate, including:
Frozen 3 • Incredibles 3 • Zootopia 3 • Coco 2 • Lilo & Stitch 2 • Tangled • The Simpsons Movie 2 • Ice Age: Boiling Point • Ghost Market • Gato • Oswald the Lucky Rabbit • Bluey • Princess Diaries 3 • Percy Jackson Season 3 • Bleach
Meanwhile, the planned Power Rangers reboot has been cancelled, leading us into a discussion about which franchises Disney appears to be prioritizing.
And finally… THE PARKS.
We break down the massive Villains Land plans for Magic Kingdom, including the Maleficent coaster and Magic Mirror dark ride; Piston Peak and its Cars attractions; Monstropolis; the return of Dreamfinder to Figment; changes to Spaceship Earth; the long-awaited repair of Expedition Everest's Yeti; Indiana Jones: The Jade Serpent; Encanto; Disneyland's new Avatar experience; Coco; Disneyland Paris' Lion King attraction; and the gigantic Dragon Ball theme park being constructed in Saudi Arabia.
D23 gave fantasy fans an absurd amount to look forward to — and we're covering all of it.

Summary:Spider-Man: Brand New Day has become one of the biggest movies OF ALL TIME, topping $2 Billion in revenue worldwide and becoming the second fastest film to hit that milestone behind only Avengers: Endgame. So, it’s safe to say this baby is a (HULK) smashing success. BUT, box office numbers are one thing, and the quality of the film is another. Does Spider-Man truly represent a “Brand New Day” for Marvel? Is this the start of a sort of…..REBIRTH….for Marvel? We think so. This movie absolutely rocks.
In this episode, you’ll hear us unpack why this one lands differently than the earlier Tom Holland entries, how the film’s grounded, localized stakes change the entire experience, and why the emotional fallout from Peter’s isolation gives this version of Spider-Man more weight than ever before. So, if you’ve seen the movie and are looking for a way to re-live it without going back to the theater, if you NEED to quench your thirst for more detail on everyone’s favorite friendly neighbor, OR, if you haven’t seen it yet and you’re looking for a breakdown to determine if it’s worth watching, then this episode is essential listening for you.

📝 EPISODE SUMMARY
The nightmare reaches its breaking point.
In Obsession Part 3 Commentary, Chase and Kyle break down the shocking final act of Obsession — from Sarah’s horrifying death and Bear’s desperate attempt to undo his wish to Ian’s disastrous billion-dollar decision and the disturbing transformation of Wish Nikki.
But the biggest questions come in the final moments.
What exactly did Nikki wish for? Was Bear’s sudden love real, or was it another manufactured consequence of the One Wish Willow? What happened when the real Nikki finally returned? And what does the blank television at the end actually mean?
We dive deep into the movie’s hidden symbolism, foreshadowing, deleted concepts, behind-the-scenes details, unanswered questions, and the tragic implications of the ending. We also discuss Indy Navarrette’s incredible performance, the possibility of Obsession becoming a Halloween Horror Nights house, and where Nikki’s story could go next.
This is the end of Bear and Wish Nikki’s story — but maybe not the end of Nikki’s.
